Introduction
Machine Learning is a branch of research that enables computer systems to learn and improve without being explicitly programmed. Machine learning algorithms are classified into three types:
Supervised Learning - The machine is trained on a labeled dataset with both input and output variables known in this type of algorithm.By mapping inputs to outputs based on patterns found in the training data, the algorithm learns to make predictions.
Unsupervised Learning - In this algorithm, the machine is given an unlabeled dataset and is tasked with discovering patterns or structure in the data.The machine learns to recognize similarities and differences between data points and cluster them.
Reinforcement Learning - The machine learns in this type of algorithm by interacting with its environment and receiving feedback in the form of rewards or punishments.The algorithm learns to maximize the reward while minimizing the punishment.
Image and speech recognition, natural language processing, recommendation systems, fraud detection, autonomous vehicles, and predictive maintenance are all examples of how machine learning is used. It has the potential to transform many industries by enabling businesses to make better decisions, optimize processes, and automate tasks. However, as it becomes more prevalent in society, it raises ethical and privacy concerns.
